Hope Arthur

Hope Arthur is a Chicago based classical pianist, accordion player, songwriter, and composer. She recently performed classical accordion for The Nutcracker (Lyric Opera of Chicago and Joffrey Ballet). Other Chicago credits include accordion player and co-musical director in Mucca Pazza, founder and band leader of The Dirndolls and her solo avant garde project, Serepta. She has composed music for dance, short films and silent films, Battleship Potemkin, The Man with a Movie Camera and Prince Achmed. She most recently collaborated with the Northwestern University Contemporary Music Ensemble.
