The project encompasses conversational songwriting, and a straight, live-in-room, all-at-once energy in their sound. With influences rooted in The Cure, The Strokes, The Beatles, and The La's, The Foxtrots aim for a sound that is complex, melodic, and jagged in guitar-driven production; something between the post-punk atmosphere, garage soul, and energy of classic rock & roll. The project's early recordings, including The Smash Sessions and The Room Sounds, are available now on Bandcamp and streaming platforms, with material making its way through development.
