Roadhouse Magazine publishes interviews, studio visits, essays, and cultural reporting focused on Chicago’s creative and vibrant DIY music community.
We welcome story ideas from writers, photographers, and artists who want to document the people and places shaping the city’s culture.
What makes a strong pitch
We’re interested in stories that are:
• Grounded in Chicago’s creative communities • Focused on artists, studios, or local scenes • Visually driven or documentary in nature • Original and not previously published
How to pitch
Please include:
• A short description of the story idea • Who or what the piece would focus on • Why it matters right now • Links to previous work (if available)
