We are a music and culture publication based in Chicago. We collect information when you interact with us:

Roadhouse Directory Submissions
Roadhouse Magazine operates the Roadhouse Directory, a free, user-submitted directory for Chicago-area musicians, artists, photographers, videographers, writers, venues, creatives, and others connected to the DIY music scene.
When you submit a listing to the Roadhouse Directory, we may collect information you choose to provide, including:
- Name, artist name, band name, or business name
- Pronouns, if provided
- Bio or description
- Category or role
- Website and social media links
- Email address or contact information, if provided
- Photos, logos, or images uploaded with your listing
- Any other information you choose to include in your submission
Approved directory listings may be publicly displayed on our website. This means that information submitted for a listing may be visible to website visitors once the listing is approved.
Please do not submit private information that you do not want displayed publicly, including home addresses, private phone numbers, sensitive personal details, financial information, medical information, or anything else you do not want shown online.
You may request that your listing be edited or removed at any time by contacting us at hello@roadhousemag.com.
How We Use Your Data
We use directory submission information to:
- Review, approve, edit, publish, or reject directory listings
- Display approved listings in the Roadhouse Directory
- Contact submitters about their listing when needed
- Prevent spam, fake submissions, abuse, or misuse of the directory
- Maintain and improve the directory experience
Cookies & Tracking
We use cookies to make your experience smoother.
If you leave a comment, you can opt-in to saving your name and email in cookies so you don't have to re-type them next time.
We use basic analytics to see which articles are popular.

How Long We Keep Your Data

We don't sell your data. However, visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service, and your IP address is included in password reset emails if you have an account.
